"As evidenced by his artistic style, Grotesk became heavily influenced by Reggae and Dancehall music when he was a late teen in Geneva, Switzerland; and while looking through his friend???s record collections of this genre, discovered the album artwork of Wilfred Limonious. Wilfred's work has graced the covers of countless albums and as Grotesk puts it, "symbolizes to Dancehall what the Ultimate Breaks & Beats covers are for Hip Hop."

About Grotesk:
Kimou Meyer, aka Grotesk, is a Swiss born, Belgian trained graphic designer. He arrived in New York in 1999 at precisely the moment when the new downtown art scene spilled over into stores, products and brands. Throughout his career, Kimou has worked with or for almost all the key players in the graphic design game, mixing his classical training with fresh eyes on New York City to develop an iconic graphic language and style. He is widely known for connecting the posters he saw as a youth in Switzerland and contemporary hip-hop culture into a hybrid of high-end graphic and fine art.
